Rumi Turning Ecstatic
Rumi-Turning Ecstatic
Documentary Film ~
The Persian Poet Rumi was a 13th C. Mystic. He was born into the area of Balkh, Afghanistan. He and his family lived most of their lives in Konya Turkey, fleeing Genghis Khan and the bloody Crusades. His two signature works "The Mathnawi" & the "Divani Shams i Tabriz" are considered second only in importance to the Koran in the East. He has outsold Shakespeare in the English language for 2 decades, becoming the best loved poet in North America today.

Dancing in the Fire ~ A Modern Day Encounter with Rumi  ( The Book)
AVAILABLE on Amazon.com.

It is apt that "Tina Petrova's "Dancing in the fire..."  is a powerful 99 pages. This intimate, almost voyeuristic behind the scenes look at the making of "Rumi Turning Ecstatic," reads in so many ways as an ode to the 99 names for the Beloved... Indeed, as Shaikh Kabir Helminski so eloquently states-  we are akin to "water searching for the thirsty... for we live in a world that desperately needs to find common ground. This timely book is a perfect companion to the film classic "Rumi Turning Ecstatic ," as its enlightened behind the scene look reveals the many challenges , and seemingly unconnected events that brought about the mystery and serendipity of its creation. This book weaves a connection with the spirit and magic of Rumi's poetry,  that leaves a glowing impression on the reader..."
